IEEE Citations Simplified

• IEEE citation is widely used for citing technical academic papers, like computer science and other engineering subjects.

In-Texting

• The in-text citations consist of numbers in square brackets, corresponding to the sources in the reference list

Reference List

• The reference list appears at the end of the academic paper
• The references have to be listed in a numerical order
• The references have to be in a hanging indent, with the bracketed numbers to the left side of the page
• The author name starts with the first name, followed by the surname
• The title of an article is in quotation marks
• The title of books or journals is in italics

• Standard

Format: Serial No., Title of Standard, Standard Number, Year

Format: Serial No., Initials of the author, Surname of the author (same for multiple authors), ‘Title of the Paper’, in Title of the Conference Proceedings, Place of the Conference/ Publication, volume no., Year, page number
